Not bad ramen. More similar to the one I used to have in Asia. The soup has flavors but not greasy nor salty (unlike ramen nagi). The meat portion is good, but I will recommend using sliced rolled pork belly rather then the one they are using. The ambiance is good, I can see they spent time getting really nice paintings. Service is ok, you pour your own water but the table is clean. I am not sure why it got so many 1 star reviews, I might try a few more times to check the consistency.
Our server was kind, patient, knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. He had suggestions based on what we enjoyed most for us to try next time, which I appreciate. Located upstairs and Interior is peaceful, cozy, plenty of seating to choose from, and utensils available if requested. Shoutout to the all the chefs for making our food so delicious, flavorful, cooked to perfection, and came out at the same time. We enjoyed our experience. Thank you!
Great out of the way spot right in the centre of Japantown. Fast cheerful service and yet you don't feel rushed. Don't let the ramen in the name lead you astray, there's a variety of dishes on the menu. I had the ore-ryuu curry with pork tonkatsu and mango habanero kara-age. Rustic and tasty curry sauce, the pork was thin and tender and the chicken was too, salad and miso included. Sake was delicious as well and I finished with a fish shaped waffle filled with ice cream. All in it was under $40 for everything! Highly recommended!
Celebrated Cherry Blossom Festival with the family. It was a cool, gray day but no less enjoyable. This is my favorite ramen place in J-town. We were starving and ordered multiple dishes.
